The ECO-SPINE is a sustainable platform for future development and a positive symbol for 21st Century Beijing. The office towers are transformed from Grade A to Grade A+ towers by intertwining the ECO-SPINE between them – performing as a physical and social connector between the two towers, a cultural hub of experiences and activities at the core of CBD. The backbone programs a media wall, work space, sky gardens, playgrounds, conference and recreation spaces, as well as bars, restaurants and galleries to support social activities, human interaction, and contribute to better urban living/working environments.

Located at the corner lot of Beijing Central Business District Masterplan Development, the two towers are shifted to perform as a gate. The resulting Public Plaza activates the development to welcome businessmen, tourists, and local residents in a landscaped area that protects from harsh winter winds and provide pleasant shading in the summer. The mixed-use towers are primarily Grade A Office with International Hotel and Serviced Apartments located at the top floor levels. The square shape floor plate provides balance between maximum efficient layouts and exposure to natural lighting.
